IT IS ASSUMED THAT THE ENDLESS SLINGS WILL ONLY BE USED IN THE CHOCKE
HITCH MODE, HENCE THE DERATED CAPACITIES. IF SINGLE LEG SLINGS ARE USED
IN THE CHOKED MODE, THEIR CAPACITIES MUST BE REDUCED BY 20%.

THE ABOVE WORKING LOAD LIMITS APPLY ONLY TO NORMAL CONDITIONS OF USE
IN THE STRAIGHT CONFIGURATION AND ARE BASED ON THE “UNIFORM LOAD”
METHOD OF RATING.

IF USING “GRAB” HOOKS AS SHORTNING CLUTCHES, THOSE WITHOUT SADDLES TO
SUPPORT CHAIN LINKS, RESULT IN THE SLINGS HAVING TO BE DERATED (USUALLY
BY 20%).

THE CAPACITY OF THE CHAIN SLING DECREASES WHEN:
1. THE ANGLE BETWEEN THE LEGS INCREASES.
2. THE SLING IS IN A CHOKE MODE.
